I have made many recipes in the microwave in the past and have often been disappointed with the results. All the more reason for me to recommend this apple cake to you!
This apple mug cake can't compete with a regular sponge cake from the oven. But something ready in such a short amount of time, that requires so few ingredients, and is simply delicious is still great!!!! All you need is a mug, a microwave, a spoon, and the common ingredients.
How to make the Apple Cinnamon Mug Cake
Let's start: Wash and peel an apple and cut a quarter into small cubes. Sprinkle with lemon juice. Now, melt the butter in pieces in the microwave at about 300 watts for about 30 seconds. It is best to cover the container with a small plate or lid so that the fat does not splash. Then, whisk the egg with the sugar in a cup vigorously for about 1 minute, using a fork or mini whisk, for example. It's time for adding the flour, rolled oats, cinnamon, baking powder, and cream with the butter. Stir everything in briefly, followed by the apple pieces.
In the end, "bake" your mug cake in the microwave at 800 watts (or the highest setting) for about 1.5 minutes. The time may vary slightly depending on the device and power. Let it cool briefly, and enjoy!
Top Tip
If you don't have oatmeal at home, you can substitute it with flour, ground almonds, or nuts. I can also imagine the apple microwave cake well with pear or plum. Voilá, my favorite apple mug cake!
